The trail runs between Rockledge Park and the west, past Twin Cores on the north shoreline of the lake. The trail totals 19 miles (out and back) of multi-terrain, multi-skill level riding. Various wildlife including many different species of Texas birds may be seen from the trail. The trail is located on flood control lands and during any wet conditions will be closed.
From Hwy 26 East in Grapevine go north on Fairway Drive (dam road). Take a left just after the spillway to Rockledge Park .

Take FM 3040 from Lewisville, TX to Flower Mound TX. Go west and cross FM 2499. Continue west and turn onto McKamy Rd. Follow McKamy to Simmons and turn left. This leads to Murrell Park and the trailhead.
