Desc: A high use trail from the village of Tesuque NM on the west to the village of Cowles NM on the East. Trail cross over the Sangre De Cristo Range of the southern Rockies. 1/2 of trail is in the Pecos wilderness.
From Bishops Lodge Rd in Tesuque, follow county road to the East and park @ trail head parking sign. Follow trail through private land easements to NF boundary (1 mile). Wilderness portion can be reached at Santa FE ski basin parking lot and S.R. 4th.
