Desc: Single track natural surface trail is one of the most well-known and used in the Dallas-Forth Worth metroplex. The trail runs between Rockledge Park and the west, past Twin Cores on the north shoreline of the lake. The trail totals 19 miles (out and back) of multi-terrain, multi-skill level riding. Various wildlife including many different species of Texas birds may be seen from the trail. The trail is located on flood control lands and during any wet conditions will be closed.
From Hwy 26 East in Grapevine go north on Fairway Drive (dam road). Take a left just after the spillway to Rockledge Park .

Take FM 3040 from Lewisville, TX to Flower Mound TX. Go west and cross FM 2499. Continue west and turn onto McKamy Rd. Follow McKamy to Simmons and turn left. This leads to Murrell Park and the trailhead.

Desc: Town Lake bisects the center of downtown and is surrounded by 10 miles of hiking and biking trails, with access to parks, nature centers and wilderness preserves.

The Town Lake Trail is one of the most natural, fitness-friendly hike and bike paths in an urban area anywhere in the United States. Its Austins most memorable tourist attraction and Central Texas link between north and south and east and west. The Trail is the central meeting point for recreation, concerts, fairs, the arts, and family gatherings. With its diverse and unifying role, the park is a critical ingredient to what makes Austin a ‘livable’ city and is a key element of what makes Austinites proud to call this city home.

Scenic downtown location along linear lake, lots of use. Millions of bats live under major bridge crossing over the trail. Site of 2004 National Trails Symposium

Desc: On SW section of Grapevine Lake it is divided into upper woodland trail and lower shoreline trail.
From Highway 114 West in Southlake go N on Whites Chapel Blvd. Trailhead is approximately 4 miles. Second trailhead is at dead-end of Whites Chapel Blvd.
